Urgently hiring for the below mentioned candidates at Africana Home Restaurant Gold Land. We are seeking an individual who can work smartly within the role. While the person will be handling one role at a time, they have to be familiar with all the tasks associated with other roles and should be able to multi-task when required.
Hiring for the Following:
- Waiter/Waitress
- Cashiers
- Servers
- Customer Service
- Cleaners
Hence we require the candidate to be able to fit any of the 3 roles. Some of the daily responsibilities include:
- Welcoming guests as they enter the restaurant
- Offering advice or recommendations to customers based on availability of menu items.
- Handled purchases in cash, credit cards, and ATM debit per company policy.
- Coordinating between the kitchen and the drivers in case of delivery orders
- Monitoring the status of placed orders and encouraging the kitchen workers for faster preparation of orders
- Appropriately handling food according to Basic Food Hygiene requirements to avaoid contamination and damage
- Keeping records as required by the company policy
- Processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions
- Receiving orders via all platfoms provided by the company including: WhatsApp, online and telephone
- Regular and detailed cash remittance form filling
- Comply with PIC, basic food hygiene and all other Occupational health and Safety requirements
- Maintained a cheerful, friendly attitude towards customers while correctly operating the cash register.
- Responsible for pay out to servers at the end of every shift
- Maintaining detailed records of served orders and collected cash
- Entrusted with handling money in the restaurant
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
- Ensured proper food presentation and storage
- Assist with clean-up
- Assist with the flow of guests by taking food and drink orders as needed
- Ensuring that the quality of food and arrangement of dishes are as per the standards marked by the company and government authorities
- Dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and received numerous outstanding customer comments
- Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Address any customers concerns or complaints immediately and effectively with the help of management when needed
- Achieved sales goals through product recommendations to guests
- Wipe down other equipment, such as bain maries, microwaves, and serving utensils
- Taking food and beverage orders and accurately as per company ordering system Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
- Ensuring all orders are filled quickly and accurately and that food is in high quality
- Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
- Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area

- Ability to work independently within set guidelines of the company
Computer literacy:
- Basic Computer Skills
- Experience with POS system
- Experience in similar role is very essential
- Restaurant experience is ideal
